Dr. Sarriera
Dr. Carlos J. Sarriera Lázaro is part of the team of dermatologists at BeauDERM Dermatology & Aesthetics. He completed his bachelor's degree in Biology at Villanova University in Pennsylvania and studied medicine at the Medical Science Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. He did his residency in Dermatology at New York Medical College in New York and completed his fellowship in Dermatology at New York Medical College in New York and completed his subspecialty in Dermatopathology at the University of South Florida
and Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Sarriera Lázaro mainly sees general dermatology patients with neoplastic skin lesions, inflammatory skin rashes, alopecia and nail lesions; but he also performs cosmetic procedures such as neurotoxin injection for wrinkles, microneedling treatment for scars, and treatment of androgenetic hair loss with platelet-rich plasma injection, among others. Dr. Sarriera Lázaro has participated in several research projects during his years of training and, in addition to seeing patients in the clinic, he serves as a dermatopathologist analyzing skin biopsies to diagnose tumors and inflammatory skin conditions at HRP Labs in Hato Rey. Dr. Sarriera Lazaro is Board Certified in the specialty of Dermatology and in the subspecialty of Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
